“LINEE GUIDA QUALITÀ DEL PROGETTO/QUALITÀ DEL PAESAGGIO - LIGNES DIRECTRICES QUALITÉ DU PROJET/QUALITÉ DES PAYSAGES “ - (Project Quality-Landscape Quality guide lines and criteria) - 4th book of the publications for the LAB.net plus Project: Cross-Border network for landscape and local identity valorization.

LAB.net+ Project aims to foster the exchange of experiences concerning landscape and local identities valorization and awareness. In this frame the guide lines for Project Quality refer in particular to experiment new useful methods to improve the effectiveness of regional policies and the management of the transformations in the cross border landscape.

The form of LAB.net+ network (a plurality of labs for each partner) is the basis of the elaboration process followed to write the Guide Lines. In fact these have been developed thanks to a coordinated and participated net, connecting constantly analytical frames and interpretations defined by the labs of all the Regions partner of the project.

A first draft has been edited at a first phase participating with all the partners, thanks to the direct contribution of the labs participants.

In the second phase, a rational synthesis has been deepened by the editing group, with the definition of graphics and photographic materials in order to help understanding the contents.

The results are supposed to be useful to give criteria to territorial and sector planning and to direct the protection and the management of landscape transformations. They are made to help the design giving positive effects on the landscape and to help the evaluation of landscape impact of single intervention.

The Guide lines are conceived as an useful tool to preventive control of projects of intervention, so that they could have right and proper functional, formal and perceptive relationships with the landscape, avoiding the reduction or deletion of the signs and specific characteristics qualifying the context, and at the same time enhancing the value of the transformation itself, according to the quality objectives decided for landscape at different scales.
