The competition, promoted by the Municipality of San Lazzaro di Savena, aims to define a new masterplan for the Campus Kid Area, a preliminary project for the gymnasium and services and a technical and economical feasibility project for the new schools.

The proposal takes into account the territorial role of the area, situated on the edge between the countryside and the city. On one side it enhances the urban role of the area, building a new urban front on Via Kennedy with a strong identity, dynamic public spaces, an improved accessibility and a new relation with the neighbourhood. On the other side, the project valorises the natural character of the area, reinforcing the environmental and ecological relations with the surrounding rural landscape.
